Ha Long Bay – The World Heritage
Ha Long Bay means ‘the Bay the place the Dragon descends into’, is positioned within the Vietnam’s northeastern seacoast, administratively belongs to Ha Long Metropolis, Quang Ninh Province.
The islands concentrated in two important zones: the southeast (belonging to Bai Tu Lengthy Bay), and the southwest (belonging to Ha Long Bay) types the core zone of Ha Long Bay, which was designated by UNESCO as World Heritage Website. This space incorporates 434 km² with 775 islands, delimited by 3 factors: Dau Go Island on the west, Ba Ham Lake on the south and Cong Tay Island on the east.
Ha Lengthy Bay’s historical karst panorama is the results of advanced geological processes taking up 500 million years, from the earth’s actions, sea regression, down-warping tectonics, and sea transgression, creating hundreds of limestone islands rising from the ocean.
Ha Long Bay, a mighty and distinctive art work by nature with hundreds of islands rising from the emerald water, is the number-one vacationer vacation spot of northern Vietnam. Ha Long Bay is acknowledged by UNESCO because the World Pure Heritage Website in 1994 and 2000 for its aesthetic and geomorphological values. With breath taking magnificence, Ha Long Bay formally turned the twenty ninth member The Membership of the Most Stunning Bays of the World in July 2003.
